Is it the characters? No, maybe the plot?
No? The great twist in the end? Or the mighty revelation of something massive?
How about one that touches the heartstrings of the reader? Tears-evoking, heartwrenching tales? Death and sorrow? Pain and anguish?
How about the comedy behind the words? The laughter and joy? The unpredictability and spontaneity?
Should a great tale revolve around just one of either of these genres? or should it include all?
Would that dilute the senses? Jack of all trades, master of none?
