NYE and i'm bored + pre west ham preview

Its 2 more hours before we welcome 2008, not that i am very excited. Tv's boring, star movies is showing the xmen trilogy from 7 pm to 1 am and then from 1 am to 7 pm its the xmen trilogy again for those countdown bastards. thanks star movies for doing such a wonderful thing to me.
Not that i cant live without movies. hmph.

Right, tmr West ham and looks like its payback time for the gunners. They beat us last year at the emirates(shock) with the help of the monster tevez and looks like this time there will be one less monster to scare our defence, not that our defence will be scared of monsters. We have defended ourselves against cashley cole, shrek(rooney), greasy CR and other mutants and stuff so we are fine. Bendtner's been ruled out after his red card so ade will naturally step up and i hope its gonna 4-4-2 not 4-5-1. Eduardo has a point to prove so i reckon we put him on to rip the west ham defence to bits and pieces and stuff smaller that tt.

Ljungberg and the ex gooners will be returning too but i think the fans will appreciate their previous efforts instead of spamming shit at them like what they did to cashley cole, though it was rather enjoyable. Should be fun to watch but hold on, theres school on the day after, eeww.

Man, i get turned off the moment i think of schoool and coupled with the fact i have wake up extremely early, like horrible 5.30 am or earlier. Disgusting. That was the time i usually fall asleep during these holidays so yea, i'll adapt. I MUST ADAPT.

No one's home right now n i feel so loserish(yea new word) staying home alone. Msn with people who have the same plight as me. There are around 40++ ppl online so hey, i'm not that loserish after all. This is getting even more boring, i am totally uninspired, unmotivated so lets check our the word of the day from dictionary.com.

ebullient: 1. Overflowing with enthusiasm or excitement; high-spirited. 2. Boiling up or over.

Excellent, just the opposite i'm feeling right now. I shall stop wallowing myself in self pity, its time to pick myself up and do something useful in this new year, yea lets do it. i'll go watch xmen all over again until 7am. Maybe i wont feel so loserish after that. What a superb way to welcome the new year, absolutely brilliant.

Oh yea, before i forget, happy new year to all and come on you gooners!

Long balls the Arsenal way

Arsenal 4-1 Everton

Strange, really, strange. Since when were long balls part of Arsenal's football? I was half expecting the media to criticise Arsenal from using long ball tactics to win games and i certainly wasn't disappointed. Last season, when we couldn't convert goals from long balls, the whiners were the whining and now even when we do convert the goals, the whiners never quit. These people are harder to please than women..

4-1, imo, is a lil harsh on a everton side who played extremely well the opening stages of the game. I didn't really see them creating lots of clear cut chances but they sure grabbed their opportunity when it came. As usual, a corner came floating to the far post and bendtner(once a central defender) cant really do much as he juggled the ball with his knee and allowed cahill's studs (yakubu's head with some contact too) to tap the ball home from 4 yards. Classic goal that Arsenal always concede. Then the next 20 min was uneventful till the last few minutes of the half, where Arsenal seemed to be get back to their sleek play. But the stupid whistle prevented any comebacks.

To be honest, i was worried. Goodison park is not a nice place to be at(they're beside Anfield, shock) and we have lost 1-0 to them for like the past 4 times or smth. Then Eduardo struck. Long balls saved our skin(s). Clichy, who still does not know how to float a decent ball into the penalty area, send a super duper high hanging ball into the penalty area. Jagielka(wad name is tt?) wasn't tall enough and it took eduardo a few cool touches before stroking it past howard. Very much like playing winning eleven. Then dudu add to his tally by scoring a goal which reminded me of bergkamp, kanu, viera all combined together. One touch to send the ball across Jagielka, burst forward, shrug him away, keep cool, look cool, left foot slide home. On a scale of 1 - 10, i will rate this finish 17284. Yes it was THAT good.

Bendtner got send off for a foul which he shld not commit. Dumb really, i think he wanted to prove himself too much and tried too hard. It was a high challenge on AJ's shin and considering the glass that AJ had been the past few years, i was surprised he didn't get injured. Ade subbed on for eduardo and knocked a goal in when he dribbled the ball into an empty net as howard and yobo played charades. Super tomas then knocked in his goal, a sublime finish, at 90++ min (again). Game, set and match. There you have it, 4-1

Arsene revealed that the team had undergone spartan training. Sort of. He talked about how the team had to battle to win etc etc. We always do that, don't we?

And yea, man utd just had to lose to westham. I saw tt coming, and i saw how ronaldo missed his penalty. Man utd lose, ronaldo miss penalty, arsenal win, sweet, just sweet. So we are 2 points clear and top of the table, yea! Did i mention that the winner was scored by matthew upson? Oh yea, ex gooner crash Manutd. As the saying goes, once a gooner always a gooner.

Went for some morn bball at Raffles Boarding school today. Was enjoying myself until the sun decided to deflect its rays directly on me. And it didn't rain today so its gonna rain tmr. 2 days before i have to wear tt yucky green pants again so life's not really that exciting anymore. I cant believe i was complaining how bored i was during the holidays, silly me. Kids out there, enjoy ur holidays before they end, enjoy them cos they ain't coming back. I'm not excited about school, i know some of my friends are but i think they are going regret that when they find out how much work has to be done.

Dang, i haven cleared my desk. I was gonna do that after the o lvls but i guess it slipped my mind, though i wake up every morn to face all the cluster and stuff. Aww i gonna miss gong jiao and the daily talk-cock sessions before lessons begin. But i am a big boy now (16) and i should understand the need to move on and stop holding on to the past, yea gogogo big boy.

Right, my back is aching again and i shall go lie face first on bed for the next 20 hrs to see if it heals. Till tmr everyone, enjoy your holidays, or rather whats left of your holidays.

Pre-everton + daily ramblings

Howdy, i'm still blogging, if u haven notice. The weather these days are just effing idiotic(lets not swear in case there are lil kids reading this, shall we?) we usually have bright sunny mornings and when the clock strikes twelve, storm from xmen will appear and change everything to a gloomy afternoon, complete with rain n thunder n lightnings n cats n dogs etc. But thank god for the sheltered bball court, thank god.

Right, i have been assigned to Cyrus, Cevan. Dont ask me how they came up with those names, some of the names are quite cool though. Lets hope there will be fun.

Not much Arsenal news though, or rather nth interesting. Same old stuff. Jens throwing tantrums and acting like a kid, diarra and his gay buddy diaby got total insulted by Arsene. I must admit Arsene Wenger is the best in beating about(around?) the bush and his subtle insults are just perfect, really. Diarra and diaby shld really stfu and work hard to fight for their place man. No point whining and whining, whiners. (i love creating words)

2 hrs to kick off, lets see how cesc get back to his pre-injury form and knock in a few goals against this in-form everton team. oh and gallas is back so great news, senderos wont be playing(thank god again). I've got this gut feeling that man utd gonna screw up but of course, i had a similar feeling when arsenal was gonna play barca and i actually felt arsenal could win. SO i'm not tt accurate. But we all want man utd to screw up, dont we?

Heres to 3 pts and come on u gooners!

Ps. My back is hurting as if someone has injected a dozen of bouncing tennis balls into my spinal cords, only that there are spikes on the tennis balls. hmm spikes on tennis balls, sounds like durians, i wonder if durians are..
Ah hu cares, pls god let it subside and i'll thank you(him?her?) for it too.

Starting off

Playing bball is fun, really. Playing bball under the hot sun, at 9 oclock in the morning, devoid of sleep and all that, is not exactly very fun. But that's what people do when they're bored. No?

School's reopening and i'm excited (yea right). Only this time i wont be going down to Bishan to gong jiao anymore. The 4 yrs i spent there have been enriching and no doubt, fun. But life goes on and soon its gonna be a new chapter of my life, vjc that is.

Its a sunny day today so god must really happy. It has been raining so much these days, bloody monsoon. Its a good day to get a haircut, considering the fact that my hair is longer than ever so i'll most probably get one in the noon. Right, i am rambling and i dun like it so lets move on shall we?

Tomas 'little mozart' Rosicky finds playing the best football on the planet not the easiest thing to. You cant blame him really, Arsenal's standard of football is so high that i doubt many of the footballers out there can survive if they play at Arsenal. But rosicky's enjoying the football and lets hope it continues. I believe rosicky is an integral part of the current Arsenal team and if he manages to steer clear of the medical room this season, he definitely has much to offer to the squad.

Meanwhile, teenager Fran Merida looks like he may be going home. On loan that is. The lad is only 17 and is highly rated. Many believe that he can do a 'fabregas' and break into the first team soon. I have watched some of his videos and i must say i was impressed. Definitely one for the foreseeable future. All the best to him should he get loaned out to real sociedad.

Looks like lehmann's Arsenal career is reaching the final stages. At 38, i do not think he can improve anymore. No doubt he had won trophies and games for Arsenal(who could forget that incredible penalty save during the UCL semi finals?), but we all know his reflexes are bound to deprove in the next few years. Seriously, old men are never gonna be as agile as the young guns, and with Arsenal and Almunia doing considerably well recently, we certainly dont need a santa claus to give our opponents easy goals. Lets see what the poker-faced man decides to do.

Right, Everton's up next and they are worthy opponents. They beat us last yr on goodison park and sneaked away with a draw at the Emirates. Arteta and Yakubu are men to watch. Yakubu especially. If gallas does not play and Senderos features, we're in deep shit. Yakubu, with his pace and agility, will torment senderos till he gets red carded. Remember last year? Everton are doing well recently and they almost got away with a point at old trafford if not for the a**hole CR. No, i will not rant about how much i hate that shit-faced greasy boy, cos i know i wont stop. Lets hope we can get a good result and stop dropping anymore points before everyone starts to write off Arsenal for the title challenge. C'mon u gooners!

I shall patiently wait for my OGL to call me. Looks like everyone else got a phonecall except me. hmm.
Till tomorrow.

And on this very day...

I created my 1st blog, how cool is that?

Looks like the boredom finally got into my head and lets all hope i wont delete the blog in 6 days. =D

Right, this blog will be mostly dedicated to the greatest(and i mean it) soccer club to ever exist, Arsenal Football Club. This is NOT an Arsenal fanblog, but a blog of a Arsenal fan. Notice the difference? no? never mind, i dont too, moving on...

Since this is my virgin post, i find it necessary to address my readers(if any). Welcome to my humble blog and feel free to leave any comments. If you are an Arsenal fan, this is the right place to be. If you are not, dont worry, you can always read my blog without being an Arsenal fan. Most ordinary people will be able to comprehend what i am blogging(with the exceptions of those tottenham losers that is).

K good, 5 min into blogging and i still feel interested in writing more, lets see how long my enthusiasm will last
